Fathers Matter Church Lead

Nkosinathi has worked in churches and ministries for over 20 years. His experience includes working with students, mobilising the church to see sport as a way to engage people, and developing communities and families in underserved areas.

Fathers Matter Church Lead

Nkosinathi Sixabayi is the Church Lead for Heartlines' Fathers Matter project. He is committed to community development in informal settlements, is involved in both national and regional sports initiatives, and mentors many young pastors, sportspeople and other emerging leaders in Southern Africa.

Nkosinathi is passionate about community development. This includes strengthening families to create a healthier generation of children. He believes that the journey starts with men taking ownership, responsibility and actively participating in raising their children.

He holds a National Diploma in Public Management & Administration and Project Management as well as BA Honours in Community Development.

One value that is important to him: Empowerment

"It might be hard for others, but for me, it really brings healing and freedom to my life. I have learned that walking around holding grudges that so and so has done this and that to me, will not help, especially when the person fails to apologize.

I have learnt that not being able to forgive will make one’s life miserable, whereas through forgiveness one can actually reap a healthy life."
