Our team

Nkosinathi Sixabayi is the Church Lead for Heartlines' Fathers Matter project. He is committed to community development in informal settlements, is involved in both national and regional sports initiatives, and mentors many young pastors, sportspeople and other emerging leaders in Southern Africa.

Nkosinathi is passionate about community development. This includes strengthening families to create a healthier generation of children. He believes that the journey starts with men taking ownership, responsibility and actively participating in raising their children.

He holds a National Diploma in Public Management & Administration and Project Management as well as BA Honours in Community Development.

One value that is important to him: Empowerment

Having been at Heartlines since 2004, Jennifer is our institutional memory; she's also our eagle eye when it comes to detail - from editing to invoicing; employment contracts to film financing. With skills and experience on camera, behind the scenes, in the boardroom and behind a desk, Jennifer helps us deliver on what we promise.

"God gives us talents; it’s up to us to make the best use of them."

Blantina is the welcoming face of Heartlines to all who phone or visit our offices. Her administrative skills and warm heart are a gift to everyone who works with her.

One value she believes the world needs most: Forgiveness.
"It might be hard for others, but for me, it really brings healing and freedom to my life. I have learned that walking around holding grudges that so and so has done this and that to me, will not help, especially when the person fails to apologize.

I have learnt that not being able to forgive will make one’s life miserable, whereas through forgiveness one can actually reap a healthy life."

Fana has worked with young people for over five years and his passion is in communicating and adding value to others.

He believes that when people feel valued, they become the greatest version of themselves and realise their potential.

One value he believes the world needs most:Responsibility.
"Every individual should learn to take responsibility for their actions and not shift the blame onto others. Always tackle every situation in a responsible manner."

One value he believes the world needs most: Honesty in earning.
"I think a lot of scandals are related to how people earn their money. That’s why it’s even hard for them to enjoy the money, hence the lavish lifestyles after they’ve defrauded people, to appease their conscience."

One value he believes the world needs most: Tolerance. 
"Becoming more tolerant of others will allow us to get out of our comfort zone and possibly expand our social circle. You might realise that you really enjoy someone’s company; someone that you would have avoided if you hadn’t tried to listen to them and understand them."

Values he believes the world needs most: Compassion and determination. 
"Compassion motivates people to go out of their way to help the physical, mental, or emotional pains of another and themselves.

Determination is a positive emotional feeling that involves persevering towards a difficult goal in spite of obstacles. Determination occurs prior to goal attainment and serves to motivate behavior that will help achieve one’s goal."

Thandi has a background in research psychology, with an interest in African psychology, African knowledge, and innovative research methods.

One value she believes the world needs most: Social cohesion. 
"Cohesion between the different people in our society. We have also lost interest in knowing each other – whether it’s what’s going on with our neighbours or each other in general."

One value she believes the world needs most: Responsibility. 
"When you take responsibility for your life, even in the work place you can achieve your dreams. You are totally responsible for your life. This is the founding principle you must embrace, and there is wisdom in the value of taking responsibility."

Phufile is part of our research team and is responsible for the management of the Heartlines database, including data verification, as well as administration.

One value she believes the world needs most:Honesty. "When we are honest with ourselves and are able to live out our truth we empower others to do the same."

Simone is the Communications and Digital Marketing Manager at Heartlines and is also the Project Manager for the Fathers Matter ECD project.

Her career experience in law, philanthropy and marketing strategy helps her live out her passion for equipping people with knowledge that helps them flourish.

One value she believes the world needs most: Love

"There are so many, but if we truly love as we are loved by God, it would radically transform the way we relate to one another."

Patrick makes sure that the Heartlines office runs smoothly and is always ready to help support his colleagues in the workplace. 

One value he believes the world needs most: Forgiveness.
"Forgiveness is a value that I believe is essential because everyone deserves a second chance in life. If you are able to forgive you become a better person."

Andile has worked with youth in conflict with the law, radio, retail and e-commerce, as well as online content creation and management. He is passionate about creating safe spaces for people to have difficult but necessary conversations.

A value that he thinks is important: Grace

"In a world where cancel culture is the norm, extending grace is a revolutionary act that can help bring healing for all people."

One value he believes the world needs most: Integrity.
"Integrity is about taking the high road even when everyone else is taking shortcuts. In the end success gained through honest means can stand the test of time, and that is what I strive for."
