single-mom households. So how can we say that fathers matter? We believe
that encouraging men to step up as active, positive and present role
models for children, will benefit women too.
For many women married to clergymen, there is little recognition of their existence and contribution to the growth of the ministries their partners are labouring in. We take a moment to honour them.
Financial education can help women overcome their burdens
Women should know their worth and be honest about their financial challenges. "Women need to be reached from a young age so that by the time they begin to have financial responsibilities, they are equipped to make good decisions," says Portia.
"I've got to make the decision, do I want to be a statistic, or do I want to be there for my girls?"
